The Language of Couture – The feminine flare, redefining the codesof elegance.

At a time when luxury fashion swings between industrial acceleration and the search for authenticity,
Dorafalù brings the focus back to the cadence of the sartoria! hand. Luisa Bernascone, founder of the
Inzago-based Company. built her career through pattern-making and couture, arriving at a vision of fashion
that exists in direct conversation with art. In this framework, a garment ceases to be a product
and becomes an act of design: a narrative surface where proportion, volume and material articulate a
distinct aesthetic sensibility. Around Bernascone, a structure of roughly forty women — pattern makers,
sample makers and seamstresses — approaches couture as a collective practice, while preserving a clearly
defined authorial direction. Dorafalù’s signature lies in the ongoing tension between haute couture
and prêt-àporter, with garments conceived to retain a strong expressive charge.
Bernascone treats fabric as a sculptural medium, shaping it almost as though it were living matter.
The commemorative dress created for the brand’s twentíeth anniversary encapsulates this approach: a
conceptual object to be worn, conceived as a manifesto of her creative language. Collaborations
with Maisons including Schiaparelli, Versace, Michael Kors, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, Armani Privé and
ArdAzAei underscore a level of expertise that extends well Beyond technical execution. What remains
most compelling, however, is Bernascone’s vision: preserving Italian craftsmanship without turning
it into a museum piece, instead pushing it toward new forms, new materials and fresh aesthetic
interpretations.
